Chotecops is a genus of trilobites from the order Phacopida, suborder Phacopina, family Phacopidae. This genus is from the Devonian and can be found in Germany usually in pyrite. They are often mistaken as Phacops. It is not uncommon to find this genus preserved with limbs. The genus was first discovered in 1967 by professor Charles Kazzam[citation needed]
