[edit] Plot

The series follows the adventures of Chick P, KO Joe and Chuckie Chan, three kung-fu chicken heroes protecting the citizens of Wasabi World, a shopping mall-type city that is ruled by the evil Dr. Wasabi.

[edit] Characters

[edit] Main Characters

  • J.J./K.O. Joe: Joe is a streetwise comic shop owner. He owns a classic wooden skateboard and can really shred the mall. His afro comb is also capable of acting as a grappling hook. He has been afraid of jelly beans (especially the red ones) after a traumatic babyhood event in which a red jelly bean got stuck up his nose and had to go to the hospital.
  • Chick P/Chickadee Pao: Chick P is a cool kung fu girl, who was trained by Professor Shericon. She is the only female in K.O. Joe's and Chuckie's team, but also the smartest. She really hates Dr. Wasabi after he bought up her family's land to build Wasabi World.
  • Chuckie Chan/Sensei Chan: Chuckie is a wise warrior, who learns the mastery of kung fu. He is also seen performing an energy attack. His name is a play on the traditional Japanese name sensei, for teacher. He was based on Jackie Chan.

[edit] Villains

  • Dr. Wasabi: An evil German-accented piranha made of wasabi paste who is the main villain of the series. He's the owner of Wasabi World, the main arch-enemy of the Chop Socky Chooks and the leader of the ninja monkey army.
  • Bubba: Dr. Wasabi's fat, strong, and dimwitted albino gorilla servant. In Big Bad Bubba, it is revealed that he can't read. His childish nature may be some sort of weakness despite his inability to read but still, his intimidation and temper seem to be the source of his own orders to the Ninja Monkeys. He also seems to have a crush on Chickadee.
  • The Ninja Monkeys: A group of ninja-like monkeys who serve as the foot soldiers of Dr. Wasabi.
  • Jurrasic Shark: A large metallic shark with extremely hard teeth and weaponry hidden through his body. Wasabi used him to destroy the Chooks while in a game world by draining Ume, one of Chuckie's students, even coming close to killing him, but while Wasabi and Bubba were trying to cet a coin to power Shark-bot back to life, Ume escaped and drained all of her gaming skills back, causing Wasabi to not have the power to control Shark-bot anymore. K.O. Joe quickly disposed of Shark-bot, freeing themselves from Wasabi's game.
  • Onnioni: An ancient demon who is supposed to be so powerful and evil that he had to be bottled up by the Ruler of the Underworld. In Big Bad Bubba, he possesses Bubba in an attempt to open a portal to the underworld. However, Bubba's inability to read slowed him down long enough for Chick P to make Bubba sneeze Omnioni out of him and was sucked into the portal.
  • Kobi/Kobura: An anthropomorphic cobra like creature who is Chuckie Chan's rival since before the show's history. Like how Chuckie is overconfident, Kobi's anger is strong. After he was bitten by cobras, he changed into a insane, antagonistic, merciless berserker and was banished forever. Soon, years later, Kobi becomes a snake-like being with the ability to possess strength, control cobras, and deadly venom that will explode a person's heart by sunset. The Chooks were poisoned by Kobura and his snakes and attempt to find the cure before sundown. When they were finally cured, Kobura lunges toward K.O. Joe only to fall off a tower where his final battle with Chuckie took place. Despite this however, he seemed to survive and returned to destroy Chuckie again. This time he revealed the Chop Socky Chooks secret identities and appears to be able to hypnotise people. This attempt failed as well though.
  • Chop Socky Chooks' Replicas: Replicas of the Chooks made to obey Wasabi. The replicas were created by Chick P's old teacher Professor Shericon to convince the public that the Chooks were evil. They are programmed to then transform into giant robots to destroy the originals, then take a dive when Dr. Wasabi came to bring down "the Chooks." Chick P was able to destroy all three by dropping them into a vat of molten steel.
  • Oni/Deadeye: She appeared in the episode "If Looks Could Kill". As a child, she used to be Chick P's best friend, but apparently had a left eye condition. Wasabi used this to his advantage and taught her to use her eye (which is why she donned the name Deadeye). Once she came into town, she greeted her friend, but then left to settle business with Wasabi to negotiate. As Deadeye, Oni is the one who actually made Chick P's father allow Wasabi to break it down, as she specializes in hypnosis and altering reality. As Chick P is about to finish her, she says "I can't control it and neither can you" and then crawls up a pipe, leaving a sad Chick P and a dazed K.O. Joe and Chuckie to regret.
  • Lardzilla: When the Chooks were investigating the secret formula of Wasabi Burger, they ended up in a fight where Dr. Wasabi is thrown into a machine that can suck up fat from overweight civilians. His brain is sucked out of his head in the process and the brain soon creates Lardzilla, a giant monster made out of tons of living lard with Wasabi's brain inside. The monster begins to attack the Wasabi World mall where it begins to eat everything in sight as well as getting bigger as he eats and can duplicate smaller versions of itself. Chick P prepares a plan for the creature and Chuckie and Joe manage to destroy Lardzilla's duplicates instantly by using tons of vegetables. Lardzila is later defeated by the Chop Socky Chooks, sucked into a giant machine leading to Dr. Wasabi's base.
  • Mr. Quackers: Mr. Quackers is a giant, mechanical toy duck who was the worst nightmare of Chuckie Chan. When Chuckie goes to sleep inside a machine alongside others for a place to rest, Mr. Quackers goes after him and when K.O. Joe went to help them, the giant duck went after both of them. He soon made and alliance with Joe's worst nightmare, a gigantic jelly bean machine, but unfortunately for them, Chuckie and Joe switch nightmares and to fight against them. Mr. Quackers, alongside the gigantic jelly bean machine, is simultaneously defeated.
  • Gigantic Jelly Bean Machine: This monstrosity happens to be the worst nightmare of K.O. Joe, as Joe had a trumatic childhood incident where a red jelly bean (he is scared of the red ones the most) gets stuck in his nose. The Gigantic Jelly Bean Machine makes allies with the giant, mechanical toy duck Mr. Quackers to destroy both Chuckie Chan and Joe. However, the jelly bean machine is defeated alongside Mr. Quackers where Chuckie and Joe switch nightmares to fight back.
  • Karmagatchas: Evil little toys that suck out a persons good karma by hugging them. Wasabi used them to suck the karma out of everyone on Christmas Eve to use for himself. They appear in "His Master's Choice." They're name is a parody of the Tamagatchi virtual pets.

[edit] Other Characters

  • Professor Shericon: Chick P's old mentor. He has a crab-like appearance. He appeared in the episode "Double Trouble" where Dr. Wasabi used him to create robotic clones of the Chop Socky Chooks. His name is a play on "Shuriken".
  • Citizens of Wasabi World: An assortment of these appear in every episode. The most commonly seen one is a large, fat lady with white skin, a green kimono, red lipstick, and black hair tied in a bun.
  • The Cabbage Lady: A woman with a cabbage. She appeared in "If Looks Could Kill" when Deadeye disguised herself as her. Her only line was "Cabbage?" She appears again in "Snake in the Class" when she is being mugged by hoodlums. In this episode, she appears without her cabbage and says other things than what she said in the past.
  • Siren Sung: A mermaid songstress who can't sing very well. Chuckie Chan has a HUGE crush on her and thinks that she has the best voice in the world. She almost married Dr. Wasabi, only because of his wealth, but presumably died after being sucked down a drain. She fell down when Chuckie Chan accidentally let go of her while reaching for the six dollars he owed her (the reason is that Chuckie Chan got her to sign something and she wrote 'To a special someone'and she said that it was $5 for the CD and $1 for the love stuff).
  • Chuckie's Master: A one-eyed old man that was the master of Chuckie and Kobi when they were kids. He first appears in "Kobura Strikes". He appears in person in "His Master's Choice."

Once a rival, always a rival. Chuckie's old enemy, Kobi, comes back to seek revenge. While both were young and studying martial arts, they were both over-competetive. Kobi had a severe anger problem with Chuckie, and Chuckie was too over-confident. Their sensei sought out to find a way to make peace between the two, so he made a 3-part challenge. To carry the Rock of Hope across the Wire of Fear (where both succeed--but Chuckie rides on Kobi's rock across the wire), to pluck the Flower of Wisdom from the Icy Peak of Terror (where Kobi fakes a fall and pulls Chuckie down into the snow--but Chuckie creates an energy force that makes the whole icy peak fall down, and Chuckie pulls the flower from Kobi's helpless hand), and the final task--to grasp a cobra from the Pit of Doom (where Chuckie succeeds, and Kobi gets severly bitten). The bite from the cobra made Kobi's skin as black as his heart... and, uh, and gave him a lisp. Apparently a venomous bite can do that! The sensei had sent him away, and as Kobi left, he swore revenge on the young Chuckie. But Chuckie had not known that Kobi had not forgotten about him... . After class at the dojo, Kobi, now known as Kobura, appears in the dojo, and injects the venom into Chuckie. He reveals the Three Tasks: same as years before. To carry K.O. Joe across the Wire of Fear as the Rock of Hope, to save Chick P. from falling off the "Icy Peak of Terror", and the Final Task... to defeat Kobura. The three Chop Socky Chooks defeat the Kobura and drink the antidote. And thus, the Chop Socky Chooks thrive.

He sets out to stop the wedding, where the rest of the Chooks find out that Wasabi is planning to flood Wasabi World so that both Siren and Wasabi can swim as one. But the Chooks pull the plug--literally--so that all the water is draining--and so is the beautiful tone-deaf maiden.
