Chongxin (Chinese: 崇信县) is located 70 km northeast of Pingliang and borders with Pingliang, Jinchuan County in the east, Huating County in the west and Longxian County in the south which is part of Baoji, Shanxi Province. It has a population of about 85,000. More than 80% of the population live on farming with a very poor living condition. The government or municipality offices are mainly located in Jinping Township.

- Townships: Jiugong, Tongcheng, Huangzhai, Baishu, Huanghua and Mulin.
No.1 Chongxin County High School was the only high school to some extent in this county before 2000.
