[edit] Chone
Origins
The word chone has come to mean a strike to one’s genitalia with a random object. Generally a chone is done to another person, usually a male, in an attempt to cause the other person pain. There have been occasional reports however, of people who have choned themselves on accident resulting in mild to serious injuries. While the complete history of choning, that is the process of completing a chone, are not well documented, the word does find its roots in the state of Michigan. It is believed the word originated in a small upper peninsula town, and eventually found its way to universities in the southern parts of Michigan such as Central Michigan University and Michigan State University amongst others. The word and the act of choning has slowly began to spread into other areas of the Midwest and is now known in parts of Ohio. Over the years choning has become an art-form in some areas. After years of exposure to choning, some have become expert ‘blockers’. When this happens other methods for choning are necessary, and are usually accomplished through sneak attacks to unsuspecting ‘blockers’.
Games
Over time several chone games have been created. The most famous of these games is the ‘free chone’ game where opposing players stand or sit across from one another and attempt to chone each other from a set distance. During this competition neither player cannot block the chone and must take any potential hit without moving out of the way. Failure to adhear to the "No Block, No Movement" rule can result in severe punishment. The game can be played by playing to a certain score or until there is one man standing. The scoring system is decided prior to the match.
