Chokkanathapuram

Chokkanathapuram is a village in Palakkad district of Kerala state, in India. It is one of the ancient villages where Tamil Brahmins migrated to. This is situated by the side of the Nila River. The Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple situated in this village of Chokkanathapuram was constructed around 1865. The temple is facing East. Nila River flows on the North of the village. Along with this two other temples - Kalpathy Kasi-Viswanatha Swami Temple, which also is situated by the Nila River, and Kallekulangara Emur Bhagavathi's Temple were also established during this time.
