Choctaw Casino Resort

The Choctaw Casino Resort is a large casino complex located in Durant, Oklahoma built in 2005 on U.S. 69/75. It is one of nine Choctaw casinos located in Southeastern Oklahoma, including the Choctaw Casino and Bingo just a short distance away. The casino is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and includes over 1400 slot machines, and live dealer assisted blackjack.

The Choctaw Casino Resort and Choctaw Casino Bingo complex is a major tourist destination for Durant, the State of Oklahoma, North Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, western Arkansas, and northwestern Louisiana.
[edit] Current Expansion
After the demolition of the Choctaw Coliseum in late January 2008, it led way for an expansion that is currently underway at the Choctaw Inn, along with the construction of a new and larger Choctaw Casino. The new casino will be approximately three times bigger, 300,000 sq ft., than the casino annexed with hotel. The newly expanded Choctaw Inn will be 10 stories tall. All projects are expected to be completed by 2012. In May 2008, US 69/75 and Choctaw Road were expanded by resurfacing, adding more lanes, and adding more turning lanes, because of increasingly heavy traffic.

The Choctaw Inn, which has 102 rooms, is directly connected to the casino. Other adjacent hotels include Microtel Inn and Best Express Inn & Suites. Other accommodations in Durant approximately 3 miles from the facility, include the Best Western, Budget Inn, Holiday Inn Express (new location is under construction), Hampton Inn (under construction), and Days Inn.

Located within the resort is the Choctaw Wellness Center. It is located directly north of the Choctaw Inn. This facility offers a wide range of equipment and amenities for member use. It includes the following:

The Choctaw casinos in Oklahoma are owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, under the leadership of Gregory E. Pyle (Chief) and Gary Batton (Assistant Chief). Proceeds from the casino are used to fund many of the development programs to benefit local communities and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
