Chociwel [xɔˈt​͡ɕivɛl] (German: Freienwalde) is a town in Poland, in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Stargard County. It has 3,279 inhabitants (2004).

Prior to World War II Chociwel was in Germany and known as Freienwalde. It had a population of 3,406 in 1939. After the death and dislocation associated with the war, its population was down to 402 in 1946.[1]
