The Choccuma were a Native American tribe that lived in the eastern area of modern Alabama, residing between the territory of the Cherokee and that of the Choctaw. They were a small tribe who only had one important village. This village was destroyed and burned in 1770 and the Choccuma were enslaved by the Choctaw.
