Choc ice

A Choc ice is a generic frozen dessert generally consisting of a block of vanilla ice cream coated with a thin layer of chocolate, with or without a stick. In the United States, there are numerous versions of this dessert produced under different brand names. Klondike bar, Eskimo Pie, Hershey's, and Krunch's brands are among the most common brand sold in the United States. Its sales are greatly increased during the summer months and on warm days.

The first one was sold in the United States in 1921.
