Choc'late Allen (b. 1993) is a child activist who gained publicity in early 2007 by staging a 5 day fast in an effort to plead to people to stop criminal activity in Trinidad and Tobago. [1].

The daughter of a local entertainer named Kurt Allen, she is the CEO of Caribbean Vizion, a nonprofit youth organization. During such activity, Allen received visitors from Prime Minister Patrick Manning and Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

As a result of her fast, she brought attention to homeschooling in Trinidad and Tobago. Allen has also come under recent heavy criticism for announcing Danah Alleyne (the 14-year old in the explicit dance with rapper Akon at a Trinidadian nightclub) as a recipient of her Youth Motivational Award. This "Motivational Award ceremony nominated six youths in Trinidad and Tobago, all in different fields, as a form to motivate/encourage them to continue on a positive path. Along with Danah Alleyne (Special category), Alendra Bailey(Designer), Joah Pinard (Squash Player), Anthony Garcia (YTC Inmate) and Veera Bhagan(Academic) also received the award. 14 year old Choc'late Allen choose Danah Alleyne as a recipient of the award because she saw the need for young Danah to be motivated to inspire other young people in a positive way and also to approach life positively despite her experience. However, this was not the view held by some people in Trinidad and Tobago and caused one sponsors and one recipient of the awards to withdraw their support as they felt Danah did nothing to deserve praise.

Choc'late also recently formed a Youth Committee of young persons under the age of 17 who has the same goal of making a positive impact on youths and society.

With the various school motivational school tours and projects that Choc'late has embarked on during the "100% Crime Free" initiative, she is committed to her programmes and always sticking to her vision of creating a peaceful society by us accepting personal responsibility for our actions.

Recently in 2008, Choc'late lauched her singing career and 2008 initiative at the 15th anual Rebeal Salute concert in Jamaica. Rebel Salute is a positive reggea concert held and formed by the legendary Tony Rebel and Flames Productions. The concert is one of NO alcohol, NO violence,, NO meat and NO drugs.
