[edit] Character

Chloe first appeared in 1995, as a love interest for Jack Wilson, their relationship didn't last long as Chloe's father Max was racist against Jack for being of Lebanese descent. Chloe left Summer Bay for a while but later returned and was fostered by Irene Roberts and began seeing Curtis Reed, who had not long broken up with Selina, Irene's other foster daughter. Curtis and Chloe were happy until one night in 1996 while walking home along the beach, Chloe was raped.

Local resident Alex Bennett was in the frame (having been in the area), but was later released. The case went to Court and when Chloe was asked to the point out the defendant, she was unable to. This led to the trial ending, resulting in Max snapping and shooting dead the alleged rapist.

The rape had taken it's toll on Chloe and Curtis' relationship, and Chloe began to seek counselling from Brad Cooper, who had been hired as Summer Bay High's new Counsellor. Chloe grew closer to Brad and they began dating, until around the Christmas week of 1996 when Chloe realised Brad was her attacker on a trip away from Summer Bay. Brad chased after Chloe, but was foiled when he was caught in a dog trap and was forced to have his leg amputated due to loss of blood.

With Brad jailed, Chloe tried to put the episode behind her, and began dating local doctor, Lachlan Fraser, who had split with his girlfriend, Shannon Reed. Chloe and Lachie's relationship was met with much frost and venom from Lachie's interfering mother, Diana but that wasn't enough to split them up.

In 1998, Lachie was struck with Motor neurone disease, and needed to be flown to America for treatment, devastating Chloe, who was left to raise their daughter alone. James, Lachlan's younger brother proved to be a great support for Chloe and they began a relationship and married in 1999. Things didn't last very long and Chloe left Summer Bay at the end of the year, taking Olivia with her.

In 2005, Chloe returned to Summer Bay to catch up with old friends and for Alf Stewart's 60th birthday celebrations. But admidst the cheer, Chloe brought some baggage with her back to the bay; She was being stalked by a former boyfriend, Troy Peters.

After Alf's party, Chloe was involved in car crash with several Summer Bay residents and was rushed into theatre but nothing could be done, as Chloe had died in theatre from an embolism caused by her broken arm. The driver of the opposing vehicle was Jesse McGregor, who ironically, still had some feelings for Chloe. Jesse confessed to the accident and handed himself in to the police.

Prior to Chloe's funeral, Irene and Diana argued over what was best for Olivia. Following Irene's assault on Diana, things were looking bleak until James returned and revealed that Chloe's will stipulated that on her death, James would receive custody of his niece. James and Olivia left for England.
