[edit] For references
Search on google ( or try boogle :-) )- Say on Bhopal culture -you would get hits on the topics, where you get content that matches what you have written or supports it, put it in as a link. The source sites should be reliable and not blogs/ discussions. For instance In culture you can add about Bharat Bhavan and Rabindra theatre- I am sure you would get some online references to both. I am sure you would get a write up on the bhatsuar's too ( the large auto's- they are called vikram's in some parts of the country).Haphar 14:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you
Thanx Haphar for your help. As you can see, I have already added some references where I found some of the material that I wrote.
You are welcome sir. Plus you seem to be a fast learner, the user page looks neat. You could help improve the Madhya Pradesh article too. Haphar 08:27, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- I had cleaned up the "culture" section-you have put all of it back. I am not going to revert your edits but highlight what my concerns are :-
1. The whole section that starts "Bhopal is famous for its culture of parda, zarda, garda aur namarda." - it sounds good, but does not look like the material one puts in an encyclopedia,There is a topic known as Original Research. This refers to personal experience and knowledge, it is not encouraged on the articles.
2. in explaining what festivals are celebrated, one does not have to explain the details of the festival, almost all the festivals have an article on them, so Bhopal page does not have to explain what Ramzan is, or what Dussehra is. A mention that these are celebrated should be good enough. If there is something different or unique in how they are celebrated, it can be added but with references.
You have had a huge amount of output in the short amount of time you have been on wikipedia, so just look to learn the wikipedia rules and nuances and I think you would be a very good editor in addition to being very productive.
If you need any help, or clarifications from me do let me know. Haphar 08:42, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
I see you figured out how to sign and reply on talk pages too :-)- took me far longer to learn that.Haphar 08:58, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 10:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sites of interest
Errr... I was looking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities -- it does have a "Sites of interest" section. Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian cities doesn't have one (I don't know why). Wikitravel is not a Wikimedia project -- so the information will be lost.
I think a template like Template:Mumbai topics would be nice. I'll create one and incorporate sites of interest in that. The schools should be removed, as Wikipedia is not a directory. utcursch | talk 14:15, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
