[edit] Good List, But
The Master Redyva really likes your list (& is impressed) but the Master Redyva thinks the greatest might be Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola. Master Redyva ♠ 06:14, June 13, 2008 (UTC).
- I loved The Virgin Suicides, but I might have liked Lost in Translation more and I have yet to see Marie Antoinette. I hope you have a good holiday weekend. Master Redyva ♠ 06:14, June 13, 2008 (UTC).

[edit] RE: Administrator
Well, to become an administrator, first you'll need to get more edits, broad experience on Wikipedia in what you edit, get involved in some policy making, and then run for an RFA. This page will have a lot more information on it, Wikipedia: Administrators. DarthGriz98 03:39, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Greatest Directors
FYI, your list is incomplete without Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone. Kubrick wouldn't hurt either. Hope this helps. Tparameter (talk) 01:06, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Leone was offered the chance to do the Godfather. He turned it down. If you like westerns at all, Leone is a good one. Peckinpah, well, he was sort of an eccentric - a bit of a loose cannon as well. He had some great movies though. For Kubrick, try to watch 2001 Space Odyssey. Anyway, I too focus a bit on directors, as I've found that it's easier to find good movies that way. Tparameter (talk) 05:20, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] DRV process
Hello,
Thanks for listing the DRV, but did you forget to notify the deleting admin (in this case User:David Gerard)? It's generally considered one of the standard steps. You can use Template:DRVNote if you like, or just type up a brief note to that effect.
Thanks,
— xDanielx T/C\R 23:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please consider taking the AGF Challenge
I would like to invite you to consider taking part in the AGF Challenge which has been proposed for use in the RfA process [1] by User: Kim Bruning. You can answer in multiple choice format, or using essay answers, or anonymously. You can of course skip any parts of the Challenge you find objectionable or inadvisable.--Filll (talk) 21:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] I apologize if my comments seemed harsh
I explained why on the talk page but thought it was worth dropping by your place to say the same. I've seen the other copyright law conversations there and where they go and I very much want to avoid getting caught up in a similar conversation. Not suggesting you feel otherwise but instead I'm just explaining my reasons. Cheers! Angry Christian (talk) 21:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Friday the 13th
First, no reliable source has reported that filming is underway. Second, there isn't enough information to support a separate article at the moment. All of the relevant information is already on the franchise page. Several editors have reverted the edits of another editor for doing the same thing, and he was blocked for violating the three revert rule. Please understand that the film guidelines backup the redirection of that title. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 23:13, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's not a huge deal, it just happened to happen immediately following Halloweenluver's disruption (where they reverted, against several other editors, something like 10 times, ignoring any message on their talk page). I wasn't sure if you were aware of everything, and the craziness Halloweenluver ignoring several of us was just making me annoyed, and that was why I was a little uncouthe in my attitdue (I apologize for that). [edit] Re: Deletion review for Image:Syriana.jpg
I've restored this image, it appears a bug in the MediaWiki software was to blame for this. In the future though, please try and contact the deleting administrator, or any administrator before starting DRVs - it's just common courtesy around here. :-) east.718 at 18:15, April 27, 2008
- No problem at all. :-) You just seemed to be a newer user, so I figured it'd be best to inform you of what best practices are. Happy editing! east.718 at 01:14, April 29, 2008

[edit] Fortean offense
I think one of the problems isn't with Charles Fort himself (who seems to stay on the sidelines) but those who promote his compilations as somehow reaching "beyond" the points for which they are intended. His jocular and humorous approach to knowledge in science provides much needed levity (ala Weekly World News) but the problem is when people misinterpret him and take him seriously. Fortean Times does just that, for example. They approach forteana as though it is serious instead of absurd. ScienceApologist (talk) 15:59, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Worldview test
You asked about this test on User talk:MastCell. He's undergoing a high-colonic and binging on Diet Mountain Dew, so he cannot be bothered. So I thought I'd help out. You can take the test here. Once you're done with the test, it spits out the results in wikicode, and you can cut and paste it to your user page. There might be one or two formatting issues, but just look at my user page, and you can see how I did it. I hope this helps. OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 06:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Splitting off sections
Hi, I wanted to explain more fully why I had to revert your deletions at Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Even though you split the material into a new article, we can't just delete the entire section from the new article. Some of the content (the most relevant) should be kept in the current article, along with a pointer to the new article that you created. This way important info is kept in the main, while a more full explanation is available from the spin-off articles. Thanks! Doc Tropics 20:40, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
No worries, you had the right idea and the spin-off is actually one I had suggested previously. Now that you've put it into place we can work on trimming more excess from the main. Thanks for understanding : ) Doc Tropics 20:52, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, as I've noted on the talk page we have to split using the approach of WP:SUMMARY which means having the information adequately summarised in the main article. The "people presented in the film" section is tricky, as the ostensible focus of the film is these claims to have been "expelled" and Stein misrepresents each of them. A blank statement to that effect is unconvincing, and so enough detail is needed to show the claims and the documented facts. Most of them have their own articles, and Steinberg has a specific article about his "controversy", so excess detail can go in these articles rather than s sub-article, but we still need enough information on each to present an realistic overview for readers who can't be expected to go off to a sub article. .. dave souza, talk 21:09, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Movies
I admit, I've only seen a few of the ones on you page. In fact, I've only seen some of the "Films to watch" movies. Bella and Expelled were really good. If fact, those were the only two on you page I'd seen. I can't wait to see Narnia 2, and I will probably soon see Indiana Jones 4, Iron Man, Kung Fu Panda, WALL-E, Fireproof, etc. If you want to discuss further, I'm available, but I won't be on much (if any) on Sunday. Cheers -- ✰AmericanEagle 06:19, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Clash
You nominated The Clash (awesome band) for Good Article Nomination, yet the article is already a Good Article (see the article's talk page. Cheers, Kodster (heLLo) (Me did that) 20:52, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Didn't pay attention to the talk page. =P Apologies. Agreed it is an awesome band! Chimeric Glider (talk) 21:41, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Juno GA nom
Hi, I see you just nominated Juno (film) for GA status. As one of several main contributors to the article, however, I'd really appreciate it if you withdrew the nomination because quite honestly the article isn't up to scratch yet. There are numerous issues that need to be taken care of before it takes a shot at GAN such as adding inmissing references, polishing prose, rewriting lots of info and expanding some sections like the lead and critical reception - but GA is definitely a goal for the article in the future. Thanks in advance! —97198 talk 03:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, scratch that. If you feel like dropping by, join in the discussion at Talk:Juno (film)#GA nom. —97198 talk 09:20, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
