Awarded to Chicocvenancio. This user was blocked in error and as a result of admin abuse.--Zleitzen 19:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC) |
Having noticed that you were blocked back in April, I am attempting to remedy the situation by making it clear that the block was bogus and in error. The admin repsonsible, User:PMA was subsequently discovered to be blocking many people without due justification, and has lost his admin capabilities.--Zleitzen 18:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] North America
Hi! We spent a long time going over this very recently. You can see the discussion about this point and a related one on Talk:North America#North and South America are two continents. Yes, it is true that the IOC refers to "five continents", but in a fairly vague -- almost poetic -- sense, as in "five regions of the world." English-language reliable sources are very consistent about this: North America and South America are two distinct continents (see that talk page discussion for details). I learned something interesting in this process -- the Spanish version of Encarta talks about the Americas being a single super-continent, while the English version presents the understanding of the English speaking world. We're following the same rule here -- this is the English Wikipedia, so we present the understanding of the English speaking world. But if you take a look at North America#Usage of the term, you'll see that we do mention the different understanding in Latin America, that the Americas are a supercontinent containing the subcontinents of North America and South America. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 06:52, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mercosur
Hi there. I just wanted to know if you were still interested in the Mercosur Project. If so, we should try to promote it and get as many members as possible. James Hetfield (talk · contribs)
[edit] For Business and Economics Wikiproject persons URGENT Please help
The XXXXX page, (International Services Trade Information Agency, which focuses on globalization data, a new agency in Geneva, Switzerland, which is part of the Business and Economics Wikiproject topics is up for deletion because some administrator wanted to puruse a personal vendetta. Now they are calling it a conflict of interest, because I, as the Executive Director of this agency, wrote the page. There isn't anyone who can write this better than me. Even my staff aren't really that good at English. Please, can someone help back me up here? The page is going to be deleted by people who don't know anything about globalization statistics. It was originally marked for deletion by a man who I had an argument with about a human rights site.
I'm sorry to bother you, but I need people to act fast, please. Thanks. Right to Vanish 14:20, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed Merger
Chico, it would be interesting to hear your point of view on a proposed merger (which I initiated) over at Talk:1964 Brazilian coup d'état. --(Ptah, the El Daoud 23:11, 1 May 2007 (UTC))
- Hey Chico, when you have a minute, let the AFD crowd know what you think over at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brazilian 1964 Revolution. Thanks. --(Ptah, the El Daoud 06:07, 9 May 2007 (UTC))

[edit] AlexCovarrubias
Obrigado. Limongi 02:12, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chico, eu moro na Caracas, Venezuela
If you watch a dozen motorcycle riders, dressed and equipped as policemen, repeatedly pass in front of your home firing their brand-new high-power firearms at 2:25 AM, etc., where are you going to search for "sources"? If the next day half a dozen of your friends tell you that they saw and heard the same indignating demonstration of brute force, then are you going to ask your friends for "sources"? Please!!!! [edit] Brazil Page
Greetings.
I’ve seen your revision of references in Brazil’s page and I appreciate your work. However, I can’t help but notice we lost reference to specific law articles in the Constitution. Do you think there’s any way we can avoid this smaller problem?
Sparks1979 17:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, fair enough. I guess there's no harm done, it's better this way. Sparks1979 20:27, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Brazil page
My portuguese is not that good. I only know a few things. Boa noite e obrigado pela sua resposta. AlexCovarrubias ( Talk? ) 04:20, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
