[edit] Thinking

I can't see any reason not to post a notice with the Systemic Bias noticeboard. It sounds like a great idea to me. More editors is always a good thing. Remember that Wikipedia is a long term project, and you have to pace yourself to not get burnt out. Can you let me know when you post it? I might like to add a bit too. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 05:54, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Margita Bangová

It is totally legitimate to remove any content that isn't sourced, and is debated. So if a statement is cited, but the citation is bogus, it can be removed. That's an amazing amount of bogus cites it sounds like. I'll put the page on my watchlist, and if you do changes, I'll back it up, and try to check out those cites myself as well. Cheers! Chicaneo, I've replied to your comment at User talk:Desiphral#Margita Bangová article with some instructive links to our policies on this issue. You are welcome to clean up the citations if necessary, but please don't remove any information in contravention of our policies. —Psychonaut 19:26, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks a lot for your support and for the focused way of dealing with this article. Now I see that most of the bogus sources ar succesfully removed. Thanks again, Desiphral-देसीफ्राल 11:19, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
It looks like this matter was settled. Let me know if there's anything I can do. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 20:48, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks to your approach, finally someone considered to remove this article based on a tabloid. Way to go! Desiphral-देसीफ्राल 11:56, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Thanks for the infobox

You are more then welcomed. The last few months I have been working on a project as answer to Ken Burns film the "The War" which will air on PBS and which has omitted the contributions by Hispanics. The injustice against Felix Longoria is part of my project. I have sent a preview of my work to some influencial people and since you are from Texas, I'll share the response of one your states top educators:

"What a wonderful article! It is awesome. And of course, I was very impressed with the role of women in the military. I plan to read more on this subject. I recognize some of the names in the stories, San Antonio has some of these heros. I am taking your article to our next group meeting to share with my friends (some who are teachers). When we discuss WWII, in class I want to include some of your stories-- the known heroes and those that just served. Many of our students have family members in the military and I want them to understand that we need to honor all Hispanics. It is your stories that have made me more aware of the contributions of Hispanics in the military. I understand the need to include this as part our study on WWII."

  • You are right about The Felix Longoria case and it makes me sick to think that this day in age this is still going on. Take for example the case of Marine Sgt. Rafael Peralta. This brave Marine threw himself on a grenade and saved his comrades. He should have already been awarded the Medal of Honor! But, with the exception of the Los Angeles Times, most of our mainstream media haven't bothered to write about him. Yet, if a Hispanic does comite a negative act, he will recieve national attention. The media has been very succussful in creating an Anti-Hispanic sentiment in this country maybe as a devise to cover up the news about world events (war) that is really important. Anyway, I'm trying to change the negative perspective that has been created of our people by providing positive role models. If you like, you can send me your e-mail and I will send you a preview of my article. We will keep in touchTony the Marine 18:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why you're White

Are you an Idiot? There is no "Raza", or "Bronze Race" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.195.17 (talk) 00:02, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

My dear User 67.173.195.17: I do not appreciate anyone, in particular an unregistered user, using my personal talk page to talk trash about me. Please grow some cojones and get an account. Please grow to an adequate level of maturity so that you are able to identify which articles you are refering to and also to be able to discuss the issues in your posts. Calling people idiots on their own talk page for no apparent reason is really idiotic. XXXOOO Chicaneo 20:16, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

I promise you, I have no idea what you're talking about 67.173.195.17 22:09, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] National Council of La Raza article

Hello I noticed that you're a member of the wiki project for Mexican Americans and I thought I'd point out that an anonymous user recently added POV commentary to the National Council of La Raza article. They described NCLR as a "Brown Supremacist advocacy hate group". I'd undo those edits myself but I'm uncertain about how to revert changes with intermediate edits.JanDove23 (talk) 08:15, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
