[edit] Real-time publication?

Does anyone have citable evidence that the manga serialization was intended to be "real-time"? Yes, months of chapter titles matched the month of publication, but that doesn't mean necessarily events were contemporary and set in that year. (I note that the events of Yotsuba&! are officially in the constant "now," even though the calendar matches 2003.) If no one can find corroboration (say, a statement from Azuma or the production company?) I'm going to delete Chiyo's birth year as original research. —Quasirandom 19:07, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
