[edit] Entertainment in Chippewa Falls
Is there anything to do in Chippewa Falls for entertainment that doesn't include the consumption of alcohol and the 99% chance of being arrested for petty activities merely to increase the cities revenue? After 55 years of residency I think NOT. Why do all our youth leave the Chippewa Valley? 1. Lowest wages in the area. 2.Highest taxes. 3.Over abundance of both city and county police officers whose main objective other than to serve and protect is to raise revenue to pay the inflated salaries and fill the beautiful new jail that sparkles in the middle of the city.
Does anyone realize the population growth of the area is among the lowest in the nation? when a 80+ year old person is elected as a public official because no one else will even consider running for office this should send up a red flag. Open your eyes people and look at the age ratio here, at the rate it's been going the city will be filled with nursing homes for the major part of its population and the youth that are here will all be in dead end jobs with criminal backgrounds. All this because no one has the foresight to see that we are moving backwards instead of forwards. It's time to rewind the tape and get back to policies that made this one of the greatest places to locate, if not, the blind are creating their own armageddon for a city run by relatives of relatives of relatives who have no clue about the destruction they are creating just to pad the pocket books of a few. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.187.92.48 (talk • contribs)
- The octogenarian public officials, the low growth, low wages, high taxes, and relative high density of public safety officers sound like they should be easy to demonstrate. Seems like "entertainment" isn't your main beef, though there is the Heide Center. And the bowling alley. And the movie theatre on the south hill (or is that Hallie?).
- I totally get your point -- I was born there, I don't live there anymore -- and the population hasn't changed appreciably in 30 years. However, we need to make sure this discussion page discusses the article. Cleduc 12:44, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

- The Heyde Center is a center for the arts like; music, plays, art shows, ect. THe Heyde center for the Arts is not a nursing home. "I don't care what you think" 21:08, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

A link to a video podcast has been added twice recently. Wikipedia is not a linkfarm, and use of Wikipedia as a promotional vehicle is unacceptable. See Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided under section 9.
Another recent addition, the "Illegal Use of Joe Zopp", is doubtful on the basis of not having an IMDB entry. It seems to have been noticed only by the local chamber of commerce, and is the first film by a very small production company. Cleduc 16:52, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I just added a citybox using the one from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, but for whatever reason the location map isn't showing up. It could be bcz of my shoddy internet the past few days, but just in case anyone else is just getting just a link to the map instead of the map itself, lemme know so I can dig deeper into it and get it fixed [in case it's a formatting issue]... It won't display 200px or 250px, but will display 199px. I'm not sure what the problem is though. --Dual Freq 21:46, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
They all seem to be working now, I cleared the server cache earlier with a purge, it just must have taken a while to have an effect. Try clearing your browser cache and they should all appear. --Dual Freq 22:36, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
