[edit] Removed Blather About Chip's Property Seizure

Chip's current legal issues with his past employer are unfolding, and there are not yet clear facts as to who what and where. Removed that paragraph as opinion, not proper content for a bio.

[edit] Is this guy relevant?

It seems that the whole point of this article is a kneejerk reaction to a slashdot story about him, as he and the company he previously worked for didn't have articles before the Slashdot article went out. Salzenberg is only known inside of perl circles and is probably not relevant enough to warrant an article. Same goes for his previous employer, [Health Market Science]. 207.172.196.17 11:49, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

"is only known inside perl circles" – isn't that enough to warrant an article? I think it is. – b_jonas 12:18, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note about 10 Oct 2005 Revision

Reverted back to article with NPOV. Wikipedia is not Chip's soap box for his personal legal issues. I find it amazing that Fredrik, who has administrative permissions, would allow what his own remarks state as biased copy. Again, Wikipedia is not Chip's soap box for his personal legal issues. Move on.

[edit] This guy is not relevant

I second the motion to delete this article.

[edit] Why is this here

This type of content is the reason many people do not take Wikipedia seriously. Remove.

[edit] Once Again

Someone added more political non-sense about Chip's legal issues. See above. This is not Chip's soapbox to rant about his ex-employer. The description that I remover WAS NOT a Non Biased Point of View. If people *insist* on including this garbage, it should not be so damn biased. This isn't part of Chips self promotional legal fund site. If Wiki wants to give Chip a grant, that's for them to decide...

[edit] Information about the law suit

Some anonymous users are insisting on removing information related to the recent lawsuit agaisnt Chip [1] and [2]. The latter also added the factual accuracy dispute tag.

The information about his lawsuit is obviously relevant to his biography, it's not there because we want to serve as his political blog or because we want to aid him in his lawsuit, merely because it's relevant. Where is the part where he "rant[ed] about his ex-employer"? It just states that he got sued.

As for the dispute tag I removed it because the anon that added it didn't state what he disputed, so there's no way to fix it. If you're going to add any tag, be it NPOV, disputed etc., please cite specific problems that you have with the article so that they can be fixed. –Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 07:55, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Once Again Wiki "Editor" Shows Bias

You can't just remove dispute notices because you disagree, that's asinine, and shows your clear bias. Just because YOU don't believe there was bias does not mean there was no bias, AND clearly there is dispute over it.

[edit] Seriously...

WTF is this page here for? What a joke.

It's not a joke, it's just the the article doesn't tell why he's famous. Chip Salzenberg is one of the leading developpers of Parrot, together with Leo Tötsch and Autrijus Tang. – b_jonas 12:16, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
