Defeño or defequense is not derogatory at all. It is common to see people from other states use the state they were born in and the ending "ense". ie. people from Durango are Duranguense, Mexico State, Mexiquense. Defeñense doesnt make sense, hence Defeño is what people from Mexico DF call themselves. It is far from derogatory. It is used because Chilango is considered by people born in Mexico City as invadors, people not from Mexico CIty that move there looking to work but end up stealing and commiting crimes due to the lack of jobs.{{unsigned|65.112.161.163}putos
