So after years of using wikipedia I finally looked up something that wasn't here. This is my first article. it's a bit sparse, but i really just created it so it has an entry. I hope someone fleshes it out some more. User:Jeffness

This is the story going around the net:

The orignal purpose of this Chikyu Godzilla "drilling ship" was to be a copy-cat of the CIA's Glomar Explorer submarine-grabbing project. The japanese wanted to retrieve the wreck of "Polyus", a massive soviet battle satellite which crashed into the southern Pacific ocean during its launch in 1987.

The 80 tons unmanned commie deathstar had a self-defence recoilless autocannon and a sophisticated nuclear-minelayer system onboard, which could drop retaliatory H-bombs on free-world cities even if the american SDI defence stops soviet ICBM missile attacks. The launched prototype had working demo mines onboard, filled with propaganda leaflets, so they could be used to demonstrate and warn of soviet MAD capabilities if the internationa political situation becomes very tense.

The japanese wreck-grabbing project leaked so the Chikyu ship is now doing real undersea oil survey work, because it can no longer be used for espionage.

This makes more sense than the usual "6000 meters deep manganese nodule picking job is a profitable enterprise" cover story, which the CIA tried to use for the Glomar Explorer job. 82.131.210.162 (talk) 09:12, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
