[edit] Etymology

So what does Chigwell mean? One might assume that there was a well there, but chig? -- Evertype· 13:06, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

According to P. H. Reaney's 'Place-Names of Essex', it means 'Cicca's Well', Cicca being an Anglo-Saxon name.

[edit] Transport

As per Waltham Cross, I don't see why a detailed list of public transport routes is needed. Does anyone think it is? Rogwan 21:21, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
