Boundaries shown reflects only the point of view of the People's Republic of China (e.g. its claim to Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India, which it doesn't control). — Instantnood 07:51, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm... You're right. The border should be marked as "disputed". --74.104.17.152 (which is User:Richman271) 13:53, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tibet and Taiwan
Clearly this map represents the PRC's official view. There is dissent over whether Tibet and Taiwan should be included (as well as parts controlled by India above). Some recognition of these competing claims could be useful 58.107.87.183 03:39, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

However, as commonly admitted, to tear these following two parts apart from China is a great fault. PRC's official view shall be respected rather than the informal views.
---
Why is the PRC's offical view the preferred view? Actually, so long as the image has an appropriate caption explaining that it is a map of the PRC, (not a map of "China") it should be fine. It shows the areas controlled by the PRC and has Taiwan marked as just "claimed". Readin (talk) 06:26, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Inaccuracies
The border between China and Vietnam and also the border between China and Myamar are completely wrong. According to that map half of Myanmar belongs to China.
And Arunachal Pradesh definitely isn't governed by China, therefore why is it included in a way that seems like it is? --84.239.157.217 01:39, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sea of Japan
I do not understand why the sea between Japanese main islands and Eurasia continent is labeled "East Sea (Sea of Japan)" instead of "Sea of Japan". The sea is called "Sea of Japan" in English world and Chinese world. "East Sea" is just a translation of South Korean local name. Additionaly, in Chinese language, 東海(East Sea) means East China Sea.--Mochi 03:52, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tibet
The dispute of Tibet as a seperate independent nation is not mentioned in this map. Tibetans all over the world openly claim that Tibet is a sepearate nation and this is a dispute that need to be included in the Map.
