–--Missp1063 03:03, 30 June 2006 (UTC)I thought maybe past fans would like to know who the creator of the Bee was, as I've yet to see him get credit for this. I am the 2nd eldest daughter of the creator, Raymond J. Travers, Jr. My father had the honor of designing this very cool bee. I remember how he came home from work and asked all of us to look for a bee in our comics. When the right one wasn't found, once again, he used his awesome imagination to create exactly what it was suppose to be, a Bee with a straw hat (from the movie The Sting) along with the soccer ball. My father passed away 13 years ago, but I think it's great his legend lives on with the Bee. He was a very talented commercial artist, but he was not limited to just that. He also did charcoal and oil paintings and was a World War II Veteran (and that's another piece of history). He is survived by his wife, 4 daughters, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. I would love to hear feedback from fans who loved this logo, so please contribute to this discussion. Also we don't have very much in the way of items, so if anyone is willing to part with stickers, pins, or anything else, my family would appreciate it very much. I would like to see his memory go on. Thank you so much and God Bless America.
