Chittumala Theerthatanam

Chittumala Theerthatanam is a pedestrian march held during Onam season in order to promote communal harmony. The event stared in 1968. It starts from Karootharakkadavu in Munroethuruth in Kollam_district and the march proceeds to Chittumala another place of Kollam district.

The event was started by a handful of young persons including K O Johnson, N Raman, K Sudhakaran, P Sujathan, K Radhakrishnan etc. Later it grew to an important event with a large number of participants.
