Chittarkottai is a Tamil Panchayat in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. It consists of seven villages but most of the village people work abroad. The Panchayat is governed locally by Muslim Dharma Paripalan Sabah. Most of the cases are settled by MDPS peacefully.^{[citation needed]} Mohamedia Higher Secondary School is very famous around East Ramnad with good results.^{[citation needed]}
