Chitreshwar is a village in Baharagora block, East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand state, India.
This is a small village with a population of around 900 people and with a literacy rate of 95%. The major occupation of the people of this village is farming and business. It produces mainly peanuts and vegetables. Last year it was calculated this village alone did a business of 90 lakhs by peanuts only, so the traders are looking ahead to do business with the people of this village and this will surely help for the growth and development of this village.
This place has direct connectivity of buses to Jamshedpur and Baripada in Mayurbhanj district from the village.

Chitreshwar temple which is in Chitreshwar village is known to the largest of all shiva linga, after that come the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar. It is believed that all the wishes made here are fulfilled and Lord Shiva blesses his devotees by fulfilling their wishes.
