Chitalmari (Bengali: চিতলমারি) is an Upazila of Bagerhat District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.

Chitalmari is located at 22.7917° N 89.8778° E . It has 24306 units of house hold and total area 192 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Chitalmari has a population of 127524. Males constitute are 50.78% of the population, and females 49.22%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 65065. Chitalmari has an average literacy rate of 37% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]

Chitalmari has 7 Unions/Wards, 58 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 121 villages. Boyalia is one of the reputed villages of chitalmari. Most of the people of this village are educated and advance-mindeed. A galaxy of stars born by 'fertile land'. B.Sc. Kalidas Biswas is very honoured person of this village.
