Chinsuko

Chinsuko (ちんすこう Chinsukō?) is a traditional sweet often sold as a souvenir (miyagegashi) on Okinawa, Japan. It is a small biscuit made of mostly lard and flour, with a mild and sweet flavor. Chinsuko was introduced to okinawa some 400 years ago from China. It originated from the word Chinrusko and changed to Chinsuko.
