[edit] History / Building
CHHS originally began in 2001 in a modular campus, with approximately 500 freshmen. As each year progressed, a new grade was added (year one: freshman; year two: sophomore, etc.). By the third year (the first year with juniors), the full campus was completed. It is the only school in the Chino Valley Unified School District that has a state of the art auditorium. Its school stadium was completed in September 2006, with an opening football game against Tesoro High School, which CHHS won. The stadium seats about 4,000 people. In 2007 Chino Hills High became the only school in the CVUSD to have a health science program for students interested in being in health or science careers. Currently Freshman are the only class with the opportunity to be in this exciting new program, but as each year progresses a new grade will be able to participate in the program if it goes as expected.
