Chinn Sein is a film director from Myanmar. He was born August 8, 1910 at Nyun Oo, son of U Bhoe Kwin, a lawyer; and Daw Saw Myaing. He attended Rangoon University. His first film appearance was in Nyin Oo Yan (Midnight) directed by Sayar Shwe. He also starred in Mya Ga Naing, Sein Shwe Shwe, Phue, Aung Tha Pyay and Chit Yay Sin. His first directorial job was in the film Kyin Thet Wai. He was chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization from 1974 to 1986. He also did writing, song writing, and singing. He had a wife, Daw Mya Thein, and two children.
