Chinga Chang Records is an East Coast hip hop record label founded by Daniel Craig Maknally in 2003 at the age of 19. Chinga Chang Records has offices in Chester County, Pennsylvania, New York, and now Hawthorne, California. Chinga Chang Records signed Kool G Rap to a EP (only later to add 4 more songs, making it a full length album and pushing back the release date).
Titled Half A Klip, the album was released worldwide on Chinga Chang Records on February 5th, 2008. Half A Klip features production by DJ Premier, Marley Marl and others. The first single by Kool G Rap is titled "On The Rise Again" (produced by Grammy award winning producer DJ Premier).

[edit] Company history
In December 2005 Chinga Chang Records signed gangster hip hop rapper Kool G Rap to a production deal. Then the small time company locked down production from DJ Premier day's later, making it no longer a small time label. CEO DMAK in a shocking move added legend DJ Marley Marl to the roster of production. CEO DMAK then reached out to Haylie Duff in an attempt to introduce Kool G Rap to his generation.
The label's first release was the single "Meal of the Day" in July 2006 by company artist Temp. This single was popular in the Bollywood scene, based in India.
This was followed by the release of the mix tape Chang Gang VOL 1: Stackin Euros with tracks from KRS1, Ras Kass, Big Pun, and Sean Price. A video was made for each of its singles. The most notable video was by Sean Price for his song "Ground Wit Ur Niggazz". Shot in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Also shot in Brooklyn was the "Meal of The Day" video.
On May 6, 2007, a distribution deal was signed with 45 Scientific/BMG in Miami, Florida for European distribution of some Chinga Chang Records media products.
On June 17, 2007, a distribution deal was signed for the Half A Klip album, with Latchkey recordings though Koch Entertainment.
The Official Joints LP was released for download on June 15, 2007, with unreleased music from Rakim, Masta Ace, J Live, Guru, Beatnuts, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-ONE, Big Pun, and many more. The first single, "Original Style" by Rakim, was added on June 11, 2007 to allhiphop.com and was played 6775 times its first weekend, soon hitting more than 13000 plays. It has since been very popular on itunes.
Artist DROC was signed in January 2007, after the company moved its offices to DROC's hometown of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The "Bornleaders" a Hawthorne California based hip hop group was added to the Chinga Chang family in November. On September 17th, 2008 Company founder CEO DMAK was spoted at OJ Simpsons bail hearing, in Las Vegas.
