Chinese American Bank (中美銀行) is an overseas Chinese bank in the United States headquartered in New York City, with branch offices in Chinatown, Manhattan and Flushing, Queens.
The privately-owned community bank was originally established in 1967 to serve the ethnic Chinese in Chinatown. A burgeoning community of Chinese immigrants in Flushing, Queens (which surpassed Chinatown, Manhattan to become the most populous region in the New York metropolitan area) prompted the bank to open another branch there.
Chinese American Bank has been acquired by United Commercial Bank in the second quarter of 2007.
