Chinandega is a Municipality in the Chinandega department of Nicaragua. Chinandega, a city and the departmental seat of the Chinandega department, is located within this municipality. It is composed Geographically by Neighborhoods or sectors named after colonial churches being the most important the "barrios" of: Guadalupe, El Calvario, Santa Ana, San Antonio, La Libertad, La Cruz, Roberto Gonzalez, Rtpo. Estela, Rpto. Carmita, La Florida, El Bisne, Camilo Ortega, and Pedro Joaquin Chamorro.
