Chinaman's Hat (Port Phillip)

Chinaman's Hat is an octagonal structure in the South Channel of Port Phillip, Victoria. Although it is today used to refer to the structure that currently stands, the term Chinaman's Hat may also refer to the structure that was formerly part of the Port Phillip bay defence system in 1942, since demolished and replaced with the existing structure. The structre is usually occupied by Australian Fur Seals is a popular destination among scuba divers.
