China Southern Power Grid Company Limited was one of the state-owned enterprises established in 2002 according to precept of reform to power system promulgated by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. (Another one is State Grid Corporation of China.) It takes charges of participating in the investment, construction and management of power transmission and power transformation covering 5 provinces, i.e. Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan. It is headquartered in Guangzhou.
