China Petrochemical Corporation or Sinopec Group is Asia's largest oil refining and petrochemical enterprise, controlled by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It is headquartered in Beijing.
Its subsidiary, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation or Sinopec Corporation, is listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange.[1][2]
Sinopec Group ranked first in the Top 500 Enterprises of China in 2007, with its annual revenue over $1 trillion Chinese Yuan.[3]
