China National Highway 312, also referred to as Route 312, is an important 3000 mile highway that runs across the breadth of People's Republic of China. It starts at the port city Shanghai and ends at the Korgaz in the Gobi desert. Other important cities on the route include Nanjing, Hefei, Xinyang, Xian, Lanzhou, Jiayuguan and Urumqi.
