China Law Blog is a daily weblog, or blog, of news, analysis and opinion concerning China that began publishing on January 10, 2006. The blog’s focus is primarily law and business in China, but its topics range from China’s developing legal system to its society, culture and current events.

As of January 2007, the blog claimed it was reaching a total, combined monthly audience of more than 100,000 readers (unique visitors) spread across some 70 countries. It was chosen as one of the top 100 law blogs by the ABA Journal (American Bar Association Journal) in 2006 [1] and subsequently chosen as the Best Black Letter Law Blog in a popular vote by readers. [2]. It also was voted best China Business/Law Blog in a 2006 contest sponsored by Chinalyst[3]. Business Week named it as its blog of the week on May 16, 2006[4]. It is on the blogroll of virtually every China blog of consequence.

China Law Blog is written by Dan Harris and Steve Dickinson. Dan Harris[5] is a founding member of the Seattle based international law firm of Harris & Moure[6]. Steve Dickinson [7]is also a member of Harris & Moure, and is based in Shanghai, China. Mr. Harris and Mr. Dickinson have been quoted in China legal or business matters by the New York Times [8], The Christian Science Monitor [9], [10], Forbes Magazine [11], The Seattle Times [12], The National Law Journal [13], The Washington Post [14], The Washington Times [15], The International Herald Tribune [16], and the Wall Street Journal [17], among others. Steve Dickinson also regularly appears on National Public Radio [18] and CCTV [19] regarding China legal matters. Dan Harris appears frequently on Fox News regarding international law matters.
