Chimaerasuchus paradoxus ("Paradoxical chimera crocodile") is an extinct genus of Chinese crocodylian from the Early Cretaceous. It was a long-legged creature, little over one metre in length[citation needed]. The four teeth in the very tip of its short snout gave it a "bucktoothed" appearance. Due its few teeth (compared with almost all most other crocodylians) and its short snout, it is believed to have been an herbivore. Because of its long hindlegs, it was also suspected of being capable of rearing up on its hindlegs.
