This article is about the vertebrate family of ray-finned fishes. For the gastropod family, see Chilodontidae (gastropods).

The Chilodontidae is a small family of ray-finned fishes found in South America. There are only two genera and around 8 species in this family.

This family is closely related to Anostomidae and is sometimes treated as a subfamily, Chilodontinae within the Anostomidae family.
