Childress Vineyards

Childress Vineyards is a winery that opened in northern Davidson County, North Carolina in 2003. The vineyard is located in the Yadkin Valley AVA, an American Viticultural Area. The wines of Childress Vineyards may use the appellation Yadkin Valley on their label. It is owned by NASCAR owner Richard Childress. The winemaker is Mark Friszolowski and the vineyard manager is Matt Chobanian.
Grapes are grown locally at the 65-acre vineyard, at Childress' home estate, as well as are purchased from local growers.
The vineyards are located at the intersection of US 52 and US 64 in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The vineyard is open year round, with tours each day at 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00pm.
