The butterfly Childrena childreni was first described by Gray in 1861. It is also known as the Large Silverstripe, or Himalayan Fritillary (as it is found in mountainous areas, from Northeastern India into China). Its wingspan is 8-9cm. The forewings are predominantly orange with black spots, while the hindwings are brown, with many white stripes.
