Chil is a kite bird that helps Mowgli in the Jungle Book. This bird gets Mowgli away from the Bander-log, a group of monkeys. Mowgli uses the Master language to talk to Chil and relay the message of where he is to Baloo and Bagheera. Then, Mowgli was rescued from the Bander-log.

Chil was a character in the original Jungle Book. He was a very important creature in the finding of Mowgli. Chil helped Mowgli often through the whole book.
