Chiki Chiki Boys is the name of a 1992 platform game by Capcom (reprogrammed and published by Sega on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis).[citation needed] In the game the once peaceful land of Alurea has been attacked and taken over by evil creatures. The last hope for the land are the Chiki Chiki Boys, the twin sons of King Chiki. The player has to fight his way through the kingdom with one of them to get rid of all these creatures. The game was released in arcades as "Mega Twins."

[edit] Characters

The older twin is a skilled swordsman, like his father. Therefore his sword attacks do more damage to enemies than his brother. The younger of the twins is specialized in magic, like his mother. He can carry five Magical Orbs, his brother is limited to three orbs, and his spells do more damage.

[edit] Gameplay

The gameplay of Chiki Chiki Boys is quite simple. The player has to work his way through various levels, while defeating all sorts of monsters he will encounter. The designs of the levels are mostly based on the elements: air, land and water. There are two ways to defeat the enemies. The first is attacking them with the sword. The other way is to use the twins' special attack.

The magical attack is stronger and therefore more effective on bigger enemies. The number of magical attacks is limited. Also the more magical orbs the player has found during his trip before using his special attack, the stronger it wil be when used.

During the game the weaponry can be upgraded. The player gets a chance to buy stronger swords or shields (for example) in the shop that opens in between levels. The items can be bought with coins that were collected by defeating enemies. The bigger and stronger the enemy, the higher the coin reward.
