A Chipoo is a crossbred or hybrid dog created by crossing a Chihuahua and a Toy or Miniature Poodle.

Chipoos bred from a Toy Poodle are smaller than those bred from a Miniature Poodle.

Male Chipoos have a shoulder height of 5-15 in (14-38 cm), and a weight of 5-15 lbs (2-6 kg)

Female Chipoos have a shoulder height of 4-15 in (13-38 cm), and a weight 3-12lbs (1-6 kg)

The mix between a Chihuahua and a Poodle give a life expectancy for a Chipoo from 8-15 years.

A Chipoo may have a coat that may be curly, smooth, long or a combination of the three.

A Chipoo's character is small in stature, agile, possess a lively expression, well-proportioned, stout, sturdy and full of energy. Other traits may be shown in different Chipoo depending on the character of its mother and father.

Chipoos are affectionate, loving, and devoted. Chipoos will typically form a close attachment to one particular family member. If left a lone for along time, they will usually sleep. Chipoos tend to think that they are the biggest animal, so they usually play around with any dog. Chipoos do well with dogs and non-canine. Chipoos are suspicious of strangers and will alert their family to visitors or out of the ordinary sounds.

Chipoos are very active indoors and outdoors, and can have a lot of their exercise needs met by indoor activity. It needs room to run around, either indoor or outdoor. Chipoos enjoy walks, either long or short. Chipoos really enjoy swimming if introduced for a longtime, and do not mind the dramatic changes from summer to winter.
