Chief Executive Magazine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chief Executive is a business magazine published by Butler Publishing, a division of Butler International. Published since 1976, Chief Executive is conceived as an exclusive publication meant and written for C- level executives, especially the Chief Executive Officers. The idea is to provide necessary tips and expert advise to CEOs, which will help them in shaping their business successfully on a daily basis.

Over 22 years now, (since 1985) Chief Executive has also been identifying great corporate leaders and honoring them with Chief Executive of the Year awards. In Chief Executive Magazine CEO Ed Kopko’s words, business leaders get this honor for their ability to take calculated risks and alter an industry, all the while delivering continued shareholder value, built on a strong ethical foundation. Together with the CEO community, Chief Executive has taken this initiative to recognize leadership skills of a respected colleague and honor his/her exemplary achievements in making a company vibrant and resourceful. Past honorees of this prestigious award have included Bob Ulrich, A.G. Lafley, George David, Frederick Smith, Michael Dell, Sandy Weill and Bill Gates.

Chief Executive’s "CEO Confidence Index" measures the confidence that CEOs have in the economy as well as their future business plans, and is unique both in its focus and the survey base. The survey also includes a provocative “bonus question” created by Chief Executive’s editorial team. Each month the e-mail survey is sent to a rotating list of Chief Executive Subscribers. Survey results are then posted online, covered in the pages of Chief Executive
