Chick Harbert

Melvin R. "Chick" Harbert (February 20, 1915September 1, 1992) was an American golfer. He won seven times on the PGA Tour including one major championship, the 1954 PGA Championship. He was also PGA championship runner-up in 1947 and 1952. He played on the 1949 Ryder Cup team and was playing-captain of the team in 1955. He served in the Army during World War II. He was born in Dayton, Ohio and died in Ocala, Florida.
