[edit] History

The Sandwich was introduced in 1998 as part of a menu expansion that added a value menu, called the Great Tastes Menu, to BKs product offerings. The sandwich was eliminated in the US in 2000 but revived in 2007 as the Spicy Chick'n Crisp.

[edit] Advertising

The 2007 advertising program for the sandwich uses the Whoppers, a "family" in which all the males are actors wearing a Whopper sandwich costume. In the ad spot, the parents come home and find that their son is having a party, when confronted the son blames his friend "Spicy." When the father confronts Spicy, he finds Spicy making out with the Whopper's daughter.
