Francisca da Silva de Oliveira, known as Chica da Silva, was a famous Brazilian slave, born in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, in 1732. She was the daughter of a Portuguese man, Antônio Caetano de Sá, with his African slave, Maria da Costa, from the Gulf of Guinea.
