Chi Alpha Nu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chi Alpha Nu club (also know as Kianu or XAN) was established as a local sorority on the Muskingum College campus in 1927 by these seven women: Dorothy Aiken, Nancy Johnson, Isabel Knipe, Margaret McCandless, Mary Mehaffey, Glenna Spear and Shirley Wray. Approximately 1,500 women have been initiated into the club since its founding.
A unique feature of the Kianu club is that it is the only Muskingum College sorority to own a house off campus. The rest of the sororities are housed in Patton Hall or other campus housing. The current Chi Alpha Nu house, located at 163 Montgomery Boulevard in New Concord, OH, was purchased by the club on May 25, 1946.
